Metal Roofs

The American Iron and Steel Industries reports that metal roofs last between 40-60 years and require less maintenance. A cool roof reflects the sun’s heat back to the sky instead of transferring it to the building below. There are many benefits to a cool roof besides the energy savings and global warming mitigation.

Insulated Wall Panels

These panels use special foam insulation to provide superior R-values. The R-Value is the unit of measurement of apparent thermal resistance of the flow of energy from warm to cold, and describes the rate that heat energy is transferred through

Solar Collector Panels

These panels function not only as a wall panel but also as a solar collector and fresh air heating system. The panel is mounted a few inches from the building’s outer wall, and precision perforations allow outside air to travel through the face of the panel. The solar-heated air rises between two

Retro-Fitting Roofs

Retrofit roofing systems use light-gauge framing in combination with metal roofing panels and additional insulation. The system can deliver an aesthetically pleasing effect while improving SF values and providing water runoff solutions. Construction cost is lower since the existing roof is not removed.

Going “GREEN” And The LEED Movement

Business owners today are becoming more conscious of the products they want in their buildings, especially with consideration of green building and a trend toward the LEED Movement. TBS proudly builds to new LEED energy codes that comply with township regulations and possibly qualify your business for IRS tax deductions.

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. It is a rating system that encompasses a broad spectrum of criteria including location, footprint size, materials, and installation or recycling processes. It is the only green certification that requires third-party verification. The United States Green Building Council, home of the LEED movement, provides more details at

LEED starts in the design phase, using a LEED-certified architect or engineer who specializes in green building elements such as HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and site work. These licensed professionals ensure that all possible efficiencies are utilized in designing the building. The process requires substantial record keeping and testing, which TBS is happy to help with. LEED-certified materials and equipment are often more expensive, but the benefits are obvious within a few years lower energy and water bills. Further, it may reduce asthma triggers and other health issues. These assets increase resale value and rent, reduce maintenance and improve productivity.

Our Testimonials

  • "Having been in the new space almost a year, I find it a very nice practice environment. Dealing with the town and various problems that arise on these projects can be frustrating to say the least. However, TBS was always there with a solution or a reassuring comment until the project was completed and the CO obtained."

  • "I was impressed with the quality of the work. Whether new construction or a renovation like mine, they cut no corners. As with any renovation, we came upon several unexpected situations but all were handled promptly. Each month we received all invoices and could see exactly what we were paying for. Scott and Garrett were quick to make recommendations on several things that I, having no construction experience, would not have thought of, giving me a better finished product."

  • "Although it was an enormous task to convert my space into a veterinary hospital, I always felt that everyone at TBS had my best interest at heart. I am constantly receiving compliments on the design and beauty of my hospital. Every step of the way, from demolition to equipment installation, all my questions were answered and my concerns addressed. Both my husband and I received frequent updates from Scott. We felt like an integral part of the construction process without the need to constantly check up on the work being done. Even after the job was complete, Scott has been available to answer any questions that may arise. I have recommended TBS without reservation to other veterinary colleagues and friends and would not hesitate to utilize their services on future projects both at home and for my business."
